Childrens wooden tree house linked to play patform
All weather outdoor play is possible with this sturdy water-proof tree house with open platform and accessories attached.
The starting point for this project was a beautiful old willow tree. The platform with tree house sits to the left hand side of the tree with the branches tumbling down to the front of the tree house.
The tree house sits on a platform 5ft above the ground and steps up through the willow boughs to allow a 3m long slide to be accommodated on the right hand side of the tree house.
A staircase access on the left provides access to the tree house which has a central door with heart shape cut out and two non opening glazed windows to the front. An additional window on the left hand side provides another means of allowing light into the tree house and ensures that play can continue even on a drizzily day.
A bridge from the tree house platform leads to a large open play platform set at 4f. from ground level, measuring 5ft x 8ft and accommodating a hanging swing seat beneath.
A pulley and basket are attached to the left hand side of the bridge and provide an essential means of raising precious supplies and sandwiches to the tree house, while a fireman's pole on the other side provides a quick escape route should one be necessary.
A climbing wall and knotted rope is attached to the right hand side of the platform. The staircase and raised areas are all protected with balustrade rails.
The tree house was painted internally at an extra cost.
