Storage and Climbing Den Playhouse Combo
This bespoke playhouse was one of our more unusual commissions and built for a family that are mad about climbing.
The storage element measures 1.3m (4ft 2in) by 2.5m (8ft 2in) and is accessed via a standard door to the left hand side.
There is a solid wall between the storage area and the climbing den. Windows are not included in the storage area which maximises the space and even allows for the storage of a tandem bicycle.
The climbing den sits to the right of the storage area; there are two opening, rectangular windows to the front with a small "crawl-though" door below.
Internally a bespoke climbing/scramble net set at 1.5m (5ft) is fitted across the internal area of the playhouse so that the children can clamber around to their hearts' content. A opening in the net provides access to an internal ladder which leads to the ground floor and the "crawl-through" door. The roof window provides additional light to the den.
The main access to the climbing den is via a bespoke climbing wall with climbing grips and an open octagonal shaped window. A canvas cover was supplied so that the window could be covered over winter.
An existing play frame was added to, amended and painted on site to accommodate a set of monkey bars that link the climbing den to a raised platform. The customer's own slide was moved to the front of the small platform.
*The guttering with down pipe is not included in the price but can be addd if required
