When it comes to the quality of our Playhouses we don't care for compromise.  We use the highest quality of materials and every method we use to build a Playhouse is carried out to a high standard.  All they choices we offer to make your playhouse just right for you and your children are not at the expense of quality.

We have completed hundreds of made to measure playhouses, that are designed and built to match the inspiration of our customers (and their children!). Often customers take elements of more than one playhouse project they see on the site to create the ‘dream' playhouse. There are an infinite number of possibilities.

3 Options for your play structure walls

We offer all playhouse designs in a choice of two different build options to suit your needs and budget, a third build level is available for our playframes that are open to the elements.

Playframe

  • Our playframes have an external grade wall used on buildings and parts of projects where the weather will have full access to the inside as well as the outside.
  • The framework is built using a good quality, 38mm x 50mm profile redwood timber planned and sanded with swept edges.
  • The framework is fixed together using  zinc yellow screws
  • 12mm Redwood cladding is fitted to the outside of the framework, this is glued as well as pinned with 38mm galvanised pins 
  • The wall is finished inside and out with paint/preservative to suit 
  • If the top edge is exposed a tanolised edge trim is fitted.

 

Plywood Lined Walls (option 2 build)

  • A good quality wall build incorporating plywood lining and a waterproof breathable membrane.
  • The framework is built using a good quality 38mm x 50mm profile redwood timber, planned and sanded with swept edges.
  • The framework is fixed using  zinc yellow screws
  • External grade WBP far eastern 6mm plywood is fitted to the outside face of the framework
  • A breathable waterproof membrane is fitted on top of the plywood, this is BBA approved
  • Waterproof tape is fitted at base of each panel
  • 12 mm Redwood cladding is fitted to the outside of the framework (over the plywood and waterproof membrane), it is pinned with galvanised pins 38mm
  • The outside face is finished with a paint/stain to suit

 

Insulated and Plywood Lined Walls (option 3 build)

  • The top of the range specification incorporating insulation and plywood lining, it is ideal if the building is to be heated and used extensively in the colder weather.
  • The framework is built using 38mm x 50mm profile redwood timber planned and sanded with swept edges.
  • The framework is fixed using zinc yellow screws
  • A breathable waterproof membrane is fitted on top of the framework this is BBA approved
  • Waterproof tape is fitted at the base of each panel
  • 12 mm Redwood cladding is fitted to the outside of the framework, it is pinned with galvanised pins 38mm
  • 20mm insulation panels are fitted within the frame work
  • 6mm external grade WBP far eastern plywood is fitted to the inside face with skirting and architrave fitted around the windows and doors
  • The outside face is finished with a paint/stain to suit
