3 Options for your playhouse walls

We offer all playhouse designs in a choice of three different build options to suit your needs and budget.

Option 1

High quality redwood framework with good quality shiplap cladding attached on the outside. The floor has a weatherproof membrane in it. Whist this is a similar construction to a standard "shed" the quality of the timber used is much higher being fully planed and sanded with rounded corners.

Option 2

Good quality redwood framework, on the outside of this wbp plywood is attached, a layer of weatherproof membrane and then good quality shiplap cladding. This gives a plain flat plywood surface on the inside, ideal if you would like to paint the inside of your playhouse. The floor has a weatherproof membrane and there is an additional waterproof layer within the walls as well as the roof.

Option 3

Good quality redwood framework, on the outside of this a layer of weatherproof membrane and good quality shiplap cladding is attached. Internally insulation board is fitted between the framework and then plywood is fitted. Architrave is fitted around the doors and windows and skirting board along the bottom. The floor has a weatherproof membrane. This gives the advantage of insulation making it easier to heat during the winter and remain cooler during the summer. It is well worth considering on larger buildings that may well become a study type area in latter years. The finish is more akin to a room than an outside building.
