The playhouse is on two levels, the bottom one giving a good storage area whilst the top one a great place to play. The front has a central door, with a diamond shape cut out window in it, and two glazed rectangular windows on it, The three other sides all have two rectangular windows in them, this gives good visibility inside and allows lots of natural light to get in. The storage area has two doors and four glazed windows in it. The internal walls are plywood lined and the roof has felt shingles on it and then finished a straight and facia board. There is a veranda on three sides of the playhouse with access via a staircase at the front,on the right hand side it steps up to allow better access to the storage area, this also allows for the monkey bars to be set higher. Coming off from the veranda is a scramble net, a climbing wall with knotted rope and a fireman's pole.

Floor - Ground
Your playhouse comes with a solid floor all ready to be laid onto a sub base, this can be shingle stones/concrete/paving slabs/tarmac/decking. The floor is constructed using 25mm x 50mmm tanolised bearers supporting an 18mm wbp external grade plywood floor: this is treated on the upper side with sadolin classic timber protection. Sandwiched between the bearers and plywood is a damp proof membrane that then wraps around the edge and sits under the playhouse side. The membrane is there to stop moisture coming up from the ground.
A soft floor is fitted to the ground floor of the playhouse once finished - this floor can be removed easily for cleaning.
Roof - Felt Shingles
The playhouse roof is built to withstand the English climate; 75mm x 50mm bearers are put across from side to side. Screwed to these bearers is 12mm external quality plywood covered with 2 base coats of waterproof membrane and then a top layer of felt shingles giving the apperance of tiles. The felt is wrapped over the front and back and sealed behind the facia board; there is also a ridge board fitted along the top ridge, these boards can be either straight or shaped.
Sides - Option 2
This level of build is a popular option as it gives the additional benefits of a damp proof membrane in the walls and a smooth surface on the inside that is suitable for decoration. Initially a framework is built using 50mm x 38mm redwood timber with rounded edges. On the outside of this we fit, using galvanised pins, 6mm wbp external plywood followed by a damp poof membrane and then good quality redwood shiplap, this makes the side panels. These panels are then sanded and treated on the outside using two coats of Sadolin wood preservative. These are then fitted together on site, a clear silicon seal is applied to all the corners.
