Sandpits
They are well built in tanolised timber and are fully compliant with EN1176 part 1 for playground use. The build specification for the roof is as follows:
- Solid rafter profile
- 12mm external grade plywood with additional treatment on the inside
- 1st layer of breathable membrane
- Top layer roof finish to suit
All of our covered sandpits have the option to have either a solid wooden lid or a canvas cover.
- Wooden lids - Removable and stored at each end of the sandpit in a desingated space - Can be walked on when in place allowing the structure to double up as a stage - Lids are a 2 person lift (up to 2kg depending on if wet or not)
- Canvas cover - Unique fixing mechanism ensuring there are no trip hazards - Weatherproof canvas
