Peddling 4 Paddy
Appears in Uncategorized
In this blog we're championing the brilliant efforts of the Peddling 4 Paddy team who are currently cycling their way down from John O'Groats to Lands End.
This marathon cycle ride is a tribute to Paddy Brick, who diagnosed with cancer in March 2010 sadly passed away on the 4th September 2010. Paddy was incredibly warm hearted and a fun loving, outgoing mother and wife and a friend to all who knew her. The Peddling 4 Paddy team is made up of a group of local boys, including Paddy's two sons, who are completing the cycle to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support to help support and care for those with terminal cancer and their families.
The Playhouse Company happily kitted the team out with t shirts. Please do take a minute to go online and make a donation, so far over £4000 has been raised ... Good luck boys, you are an inspiration!
I'm a West Ham fan and whilst the last season may not have been the best (not mentioning the relegation), I do remain loyal. Imagine my delight to find myself (along with Chris, who's in the pic) to be installing this lovely playhouse literally in the shadow of Upton Park last week. A magical day all round!
